Processes of normal diffusion, subdiffusion, and slow subdiffusion (ultraslow diffusion) in a one-dimensional homogeneous system are considered, all with or without absorption of diffusing particles. It is shown how to derive equations describing the processes. Subdiffusion equations contain the Caputo fractional time derivative while slow subdiffusion equations contain integral operators with kernels as slowly varying functions with respect to time. The Green functions for the equations are also presented.
