An LiF:F2+ color center laser using a two-mirror cavity is reported. The LiF:F2+ laser was achieved by creating the F2+ centers through the photoionization of the F2 color centers at room temperature and simultaneously by exciting the F2+ centers optically. We obtained the F2+ broadband laser oscillation with a peak at 930 nm, and it was more powerful than the room-temperature broadband LiF:F3+ color center laser.
