The influence of boron atoms on the magnetic properties of Νd(Co1-xBx)5 (i.e. ΝdCo5, NdCo4B, Νd3Co11Β4 and Νd2Co7Β3) compounds has been studied. These structures are based on the well-known CaCu5 structure. They all have the hexagonal symmetry and belong to the space group of P6/mmm. The experimental values of the Curie temperatures (Tc) of Nd(Co1-xBx)5 are used to calculate the effective intersublattice exchange interactions (JNdCO) between Nd and Co sublattices. As the Β content increases, a tendency to decrease in JNdCO and Tc is found. This variation is compared with that observed for the Co magnetic moment.
