Quadrupolar Magnetic Field Outside Antiferromagnetic Cr2O3

Predicted by Dzyaloshinskii quadrupolar magnetic field outside antiferromagnet was experimentally observed for Cr2O3 single crystal. The magnetic quadrupole sharply disappeared with heating the sample above TN=317 K and appeared again on cooling below TN. The obtained value of the magnetic quadrupole is in reasonable agreement with theoretical estimation.
