Quadrupolar Magnetic Field Outside Antiferromagnetic Cr2O3 |

Predicted by Dzyaloshinskii quadrupolar magnetic field outside antiferromagnet was experimentally observed for Cr2O3 single crystal. The magnetic quadrupole sharply disappeared with heating the sample above TN=317 K and appeared again on cooling below TN. The obtained value of the magnetic quadrupole is in reasonable agreement with theoretical estimation. |
