The nucleation and movement of the 180° domain walls in CH3NH3)5Bi2Br11 crystals has been investigated by means of liquid crystals. The various shapes of domains during the polarization reversal has been observed and discussed, considering that the type of nucleation is the controlling factor in the propagation of the walls.
