0.6Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.4PbTiO3 ceramics are prepared by a mixed-oxide method and detail analysis of structural and electrical properties is carried out. The Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data suggests that the compound has both a tetragonal and a cubic phase. From the complex impedance plots, the major effects of impedance are found, i.e., grain, grain boundary resistance and the presence of non-Debye type of relaxation. From the conductivity study, the ac conductivity is found to rise with temperature and the activation energy is found to be 0.71 eV. |
