Semiconducting ferroelectric antimony sulfoiodide (SbSI) photonic crystals were fabricated. The SiO2 nanospheres were synthesized and gravity sedimented to obtain opal matrices. These opals were infiltrated with melted SbSI and etched in HF acid to produce inverted SbSI opals.
