The present work is devoted to investigation of optical absorption in pure Ca4GdO(BO3)3 single crystals in the spectral range 0.2-1.1 μm induced under influence of the gamma quanta irradiation with absorbed dose 2 × 103 Gy. The effect of heating in air on the absorption spectrum of irradiated sample is also studied.
