Growth Rate of YBa2Cu3O7 Bulk Crystals in Y1.5Ba2Cu3 System with CeO2 Addition |

The growth rate of Y1Ba2Cu3Ox bulk single grain (in fact single crystal) superconductors in the system with composition Y1.5Ba2Cu3Ox and CeO2 addition was studied in the temperature range 991-1001°C. It is shown that the growth rate of bulk crystal is different for a- and c-growth direction. Slower measured growth rate in studied system than in pure Y1Ba2Cu3Ox is related to the composition shift to the three-phase field containing CuO. |
