Electro-Optical Behavior of Dye Doped Nematic Liquid Crystal

We report electro-optical behavior of a dye doped nematic liquid crystal. The dye doped cells have shown some improvement in some parameters important for the display devices such as threshold voltage (Vth), splay elastic constant, rotational viscosity and response time. The suppression of screening effect improves the threshold voltage for the doped sample.
